SANTA MONICA, CA – TONI&GUY proudly announces the promotion of Kenny Gibson and Debbie Webster to Co-Presidents of the Salon and Academy Division. With a combined experience in the hair care industry of over 60 years, Kenny and Debbie will continue to grow and streamline TONI&GUY throughout the US and Canada. With a keen focus on company culture, education and efficiency we are sure to see thoughtful and increased growth of TONI&GUY Salons and Academies nationwide.
Kenny Gibson has been a leader in the hairdressing industry for over 30 years. He has trained hairdressers all over the world and has been an influential member of the TONI&GUY family since 1986 when he became the Artistic Director of the 2nd TONI&GUY Salon in the US. Kenny quickly became the National Artistic Director where he worked in tandem with the International Artistic Team to completely revamp the TONI&GUY Foundational and Advanced Education Programs for Academies for which they are known. Kenny went on to open the Madison Avenue TONI&GUY Salon in NYC in 1999 and was soon appointed to Vice President overseeing Academy Operations in 2000. In this new role Kenny influenced student enrollment, student pass rates on State Boards, cemented TONI&GUY culture and increased recent graduate placement in top salons. He is directly responsible for national growth and expansion of the Academies, academy franchising, personnel management, and continual development of the Academy programs and will continue this focus and passion in his Co-President role.
Inspired by the creative and artistic ability of the Mascolo Brothers, Debbie Webster began her career in hairdressing in England in 1979. Having completed a hairdressing apprenticeship, Debbie went on to own and manage a salon. After relocating to the United States in 1991, Debbie joined TONI&GUY at the Sherry Lane salon in Dallas and was quickly promoted to Salon Director. With an unstoppable trifecta background in accounting, operations and hairdressing, Debbie continued to quickly rise through the ranks and has held the positions of Regional Salon Director, Managing Director of the Salon Division, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and now Co-President of Salon and Academy Divisions at TONI&GUY. In this role Debbie is responsible for overseeing daily operations at all company owned locations and acts as a consultant for partnership salons & franchise academies nationwide. Debbie’s passion lies in developing strong leadership teams who help maintain the company culture as the salon & academy divisions grow.
