There’s no doubt about it – the beauty industry is booming! And the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) continues to grow as professionals from every beauty sector – salon/spas, distributors, manufacturers, and beauty professionals – are finding value in the many benefits of membership.

Here’s a few highlights of PBA’s membership from 2010 and the first quarter of 2011.

Organizational Membership Sections

o   PBA enjoyed an overall growth rate of 12% in its organizational membership in 2010.

o   All four organizational membership sections experienced growth in 2010.

Individual Membership Sections

o   Membership in the Beauty Professional (NCA) section grew nearly 20% in the first quarter of 2011.

o   The student membership section grew an impressive 49% between December 2010 and January 2011.
