shutterstock_146228516Discover how your business compares to other distributors in the professional beauty industry with the Distributor Benchmarking Survey results. The semi-annual version of the report, released earlier this month, provides quantitative and qualitative data from independent beauty distributors for the second half of 2013.

“Seventy-nine percent of distributors reported increased sales in the last six months of 2013, which is a great substantial increase over the sixty-five percent that reported increases in the first six months of the year. The great news is that sixty-two percent of distributors also reported that their salon customers were reporting increases as well. This points to the beauty industry as a whole gaining momentum, and should lead to a prosperous 2014,” stated Steve Neumaier, chair of the task force that manages this initiative for the Professional Beauty Association.

Results for the report are provided free of to participating distributors. Members of PBA’s distributor or manufacturer sections can purchase the full survey here. If you are a full service distributor, with an in-the-field sales force and/or professionals-only store(s) and have interest in participating in future surveys please contact PBA’s director of membership & association programs, Elizabeth Fantetti by phone at 480.455.3430 or via email at Elizabeth@probeauty.org.
