IOWA S.F. 2346 – Chemical Bans/Restrictions

Summary: Prohibits the manufacturing, sale or distribution of a soap, hand sanitizer or toothpaste containing triclosan. Requires a manufacturer to use the least toxic alternative when replacing triclosan in the manufacturing of such products. Provides for a civil penalty of $1,000 for each violation.
