Supply chain industry leaders have access to more information today than ever before in history. Thanks to data gathering programs, supply chain software and data entry applications, this represents a mountain of data, which has the potential to provide ground-breaking insight into how to improve business-model efficiency. As a result, business leaders can reap a significant return on investment by thoroughly analyzing this data. Unfortunately, some may not understand what supply chain big data truly is, how it is useful and why they need to take advantage of it as soon as possible. For this presentation, join Adam Robinson, Marketing Manager at Cerasis, as he discusses how Big Data provides actionable insight to truly affect business outcomes, resulting in reduced supply chain costs and a more strategic approach to transportation management.

8:30am - 9:30am     Supply Chain Dive: Supply Chain Year in Review
If 2017 taught us anything, it is that supply chains are struggling to keep up with shifting consumer habits. Major bankruptcies and thousands of store closures have spurred retailers and brands into panic. It's not that people are buying less -- quite the opposite, retail imports hit record levels in 2017 -- but stores are selling less, and brands are suffering. As a key link in this supply chain, distributors must find new ways to reach an ever more fickle consumer base. But since it can be hard to innovate when caught in the daily grind, Supply Chain Dive created a presentation highlighting the top trends and innovations distributors should be aware of, based on news events in the retail, food and healthcare industries that happened in the past year.
